Freedive Club

Freedive Club meets monthly to practice our skills as certified freedivers. Times and locations are announced through the Newsletter, on Instagram, Facebook, and you can contact us for details on the next club meeting. Join us to practice your skills, get feedback on your form, and be a part of the freedive community. Suggested donation for practice is $10.

Rules:

Welcome to Freedive Club.

  1. The first rule of Freedive Club is: You never dive alone.
  2. The second rule of Freedive Club is: you DO NOT dive alone!
  3. Third rule of Freedive Club: if someone blacks out, LMCs, or sambas, the dive is over.
  4. Fourth rule: One up, one down.
  5. Fifth rule: One dive at a time, divers.
  6. Sixth rule: The dives are on breathhold. No scuba, no snuba, no surface supplied air.
  7. Seventh rule: Statics will go on as long as they have to.
  8. And the eighth and final rule: If this is your first time at Freedive Club, you have to dive.

We follow safety and liability requirements for our sessions. You will need to complete form 2 & 3 of Freediver Forms. We will rotate as safety divers for each other, following the PADI &/or SSI Freedive Program Guidelines throughout practice.

Each facility (Dive Utah/Neptune) will have freediving fins in a variety of sizes, masks and snorkels for your use or bring your own gear. You will be working with a certified freediving instructor and certified freedivers throughout these sessions.
